Such a fascinating exercise and one I will definitely think through. My alter ego is more bold creatively for sure. If you are interested in a fun read, Ruth Reichl talks about the alter egos she used as a food critic.

My alter ego is nomadic. Her pasport is full. She speaks a second language. Maybe a third. She is a great conversationalist. She looks stylish and put together in the kind of clothes — wrinkled linen, kaftans — that make most people look like they just rolled out of bed. She knows how to mix patterns. If she has kids, she homeschools/unschools and does it brilliantly, without ever losing patience, resorting to crappy worksheets or loosing sight of herself in the process. She makes a mean cocktail and she eats ice cream straight from the carton. It never goes to her hips.

This is so great!!! My honey and I have been in a nomadic stage of life for the past couple of years, but I am all about having this party this summer when life settles down. And in the mean time, thinking about and journaling from the perspective of my alter ego seems like a wonderful way to embrace the me with an exclamation point.
