If I was being rude I would have instead made a comment about how greats like Julia Child are spinning in their graves seeing how anyone with a computer is suddenly a “master chef”. If I was being rude, I would have added that anyone who doesn’t have the basic understanding of writing a recipe has no business writing one.

This is an old recipe and I’ve since learned how to write much more accurate recipes. Although I didn’t learn by someone leaving me a rude comment on my blog. Be nice, it’s more fun.

There is a reason somethings are standardized…try using correct symbols. Also not all of your readers would be American, use the C or F to indicate which unit of “asterisks” you are using. If you are trying to be taken seriously have some respect for tradition and stop assuming American’s own the world.

When my kids were young- they’re in their 20’s now- we made something similar but only heated milk, added vinegar or lemon juice and strained or drained it. Thanks for the recipes and instruction!

What cream exactly should be used? I live outside the US and its hard to find just cream… Can i substitute with 1/2 heavy cream and 1/2 milk?

I like to know how different recipes were invented and what made them famous. Tiramisu means “pick me up” or “lift me up” in Italian. The first Tiramisu recipe comes from 1967 or 69. The sources are not clear on that. The nonnegotiable MUST ingredients of Tiramisu are: Lady Fingers, Mascarpone cheese, egg yolks and strong coffee. (on this website you can learn how to make your own macarpone cheese at home http://notwithoutsalt.com/2011/08/11/homemade-mascarpone-and-broiled-peaches/)  […]

Line Dish with Wax Paper3) Line the bottom of the casserole dish with the wax paper.
Whenever the mixture becomes too dry and heavy, add a little milk to lighten it.

Must try at once! I built a wood-fired pizza oven in the backyard, and make an amazing dessert pizza with nutella, mascarpone, and brown sugar. It’s already amazing. But with homemade mascarpone??? Swoon!
