I grew up in southern Missouri, and some of my absolute best memories are of making ice cream with my mom and brothers, then eating it on the back porch while it melted in the hot, humid summer air. The cicadas were always singing and ice cream ended up all over the place as it melted. Once my mom died and I started to recreate recipes in her honor, I realized her magic ice cream recipe had gone with her. I’m really excited to try this recipe when my brothers come visit me this summer!
