I almost cried. I love this post. I love the poem and that cute cow. The recipe sounds delicious and I look forward to trying it out. That is so true – so often we go to the supermarket without really thinking about where all this food came from, and whose time and effort went in to getting it here. Such a lovely post. That Mary Oliver poem is one of my favorites. I agree that the more we can be witness to the incredible energy and passion that goes into these amazing small family farms, the more we can appreciate what comes out of them. And all of a sudden, paying 6 bucks for a gallon of whole milk seems like a bargain! 😉
