The coastal town of Essaouira. Famous for kite and wind surfing. One of my favorite stops on the trip with rich history, stunning beaches, vivid culture and friendly camels.
I’m thankful for the experience of a new culture. For the reminder to maintain simplicity in order for life to be most fully lived.
I’m thankful for preserved lemons. Floral and tart, fragrant and salty. For a new flavor being welcomed into many of my current cooking adventures.

Oh my god, you’ve been to le Heure Bleue! We just returned from our honeymoon in morocco and the end of the trip was Essaouira. We stayed at Casa Lila down the street which was nice, but after lurking into the Palais we defitnitly want to move there:-) Your pics are incredibly cool. LOOOOVE your blog.
P.S. You are so right about that blue. I took millions of pics at the Kasbah in Rabat and in Essaouria – all those blue doors and walls. So beautiful. I spammed my blog with them:-)

A very belayed Happy Thanksgiving…what stunning photos…you make me want to head to the airport & to hop on a plane to Morocco! At the very least I may have to settle for concocting something in the kitchen with preserved lemons!
