OOH! I wish I’d read this post before Christmas, darn it! But I LOVE gin; this is right up my alley. The lemon juice is unique – I bet this drink has a nice, tart kick to it.

Love the photos, especially the one with the soon-to-be-tipsy bird!!

John – Thanks for the great recipe. I love drinking cocktails but am far from being a genuine mixer so I appreciate any help I can get. Will definitely try making my own Grenadine.

Try a more original style of the recipe (courtesy of cocktaildb.com)

2 oz gin (6 cl, 1/2 gills)
1/4 oz fresh lemon juice (6 dashes, 1/16 gills)
1/4 oz orange juice (6 dashes, 1/16 gills)
1/4 oz grenadine (6 dashes, 1/16 gills)

And try making the grenadine yourself – it’s extremely easy! Pomegranate juice and sugar, equal parts.
