I want to try this recipe but i dont have kosher salt. can i sub it for sea salt or table salt? if so, what would the amount difference be?

I’ve made this recipe lots of times and I’ve never been disappointed, I love it and so do my friends.
I was wondering if I want to make just a shortbread cookie half dipped in chocolate, if I could use this recipe without the chocolate chips. Would that work right?

I tried this recipe but something was wrong..So I replaced butter with Patan ghee and it gave the required taste.Thanks for such a wonderful recipe…
