Best Black and Whites in NYC, I swear. They also have excellent cannoli, filled to order. Levain bakery has the best chocolate chip walnut AND oatmeal raisin cookies - I have to fight hard to restrict myself to only 1 cookie. Cafe Habana is delicious. My other favorites are Tillman's (26th between 6th and 7th - I think), Pio Pio (a few locations - insanely good roast chicken with ahi), and Raul's (french bistro in SoHo). Have a wonderful visit! Finally got to try it this summer. My husband and I ventured through Chinatown first (to get egg tarts), before walking up into SoHo. Magnolia Bakery and Serendipity 3 are touristy hits (ie. crowded), but try Bouchon Bakery esp for macarons (my current fave)!
