“Where would we be without salt?” – James Beard

Pause.

Before we get to our regularly (or not-so regularly) scheduled blog post I have a few announcements and/or links that I thought you may enjoy.

First of all in case you missed it and care to read it, the Times Online recently posted an interview with yours truly. Everything you ever wanted to know about me is in that interview. :)

Since your there anyway – check out this great article on 5 things to do with tomatoes (besides sprinkling with salt and shoving them in your face).

If you happen to be in the Bellingham, WA area I would love to see you on Wednesday evening (6:30 pm) for my “Frozen Desserts” class. Ice cream without a machine, granita, semi-freddo, gelato, sorbet and more. Guarenteed lick-your-bowl clean delicious! Find out more information at CiaoThyme.com.

Cold Brew Coffee. If you aren’t drinking it everyday this Summer you are missing out. We religiously make Kim O’Donnel’s recipe nearly every night.

Okay. Thanks. Stay tuned for:

The easiest way to make the iced coffee is to use a toddy maker. We used one at our cafe and now have one at the house. So good and so easy. http://www.amazon.com/Toddy-T2N-Cold-Brew-System/dp/B0006H0JVW
