can’t agree more on your take on salt. I put my Fluer De Sel in both savories and sweets, it just makes any flavor pop!

I mentioned in another comment that I love salt so much, I carry a little container of Himilayan Sea Salt in my purse. (It fits nicely in the inner pockets of Vera Bradley, bu the way) But I would like to scientifically add, I once dated a dashing young Biochemist who did his dissertation on salt. He proved that every cellular process in the human body requires salt. I’m surprised I didn’t marry him for his pro-salt position alone. But, alas, it was not meant to be. But at least I can share this with all the salt-phobics out there, to free them forever from an anti-salt world.

Salt is the spice of life! What a great site you have. Blogroll added right away! I never cook without it.

If you guys are interested, there’s a good wine video blog which I feel has a similar philosophy to this site. The reviewer is quite charismatic and not stuck up at all about his trade (like this site). Click on my name if you like wine!

Thanks so much again for this site…Please keep it up and I’ll be reading you again soon!

    Cheers!

When I saw the first photo, I thought it was a real mushroom. Great job! These mushroom meringues are adorable. Almost as adorable as the pics of your little boy in the last post!

Salt is good. Sodium is not. I use sea salt or Kosher, never iodized. A tiny bit brings out the flavor in everything.

Congratulations! I’m due with my first late September, so we must be on a similar schedule, and one of my staples a couple weeks ago was whole wheat pasta with butter and Parmesan too! I keep thinking the morning sickness is gone because I’ve started meal planning again some days with enthusiasm, until after I’ve eaten the meal and can’t stand the idea of it or the smell of the dirty dishes. Just another week or two and we should be in the clear though – here’s wishing you happy food thoughts and good health!
