“Where would we be without salt?” – James Beard

Unsweetened

I apologize, for this is now the second consecutive unsweetened post I have written. But I just wanted to take a moment and show all of you some of the veggies of my labor. This being my first year of attempting to grow a plentiful garden I am so proud of this image.

These snow peas grew from a start that was given to me by my mother-in-law. It was touch-and-go for awhile there as the leaves turned a shade of unhealthy yellow. I continued to nurse the sickly plant and sure enough I have already harvested a good amount of delicious peas four times. Everyday I go and check on its continued progress and it in return supplies my family and I with a generous supply of sweet and crunchy peas.

I have also made arugula pesto, carrot soup, spinach salad and garnished it all with nasturtiums and pansies.
